Wayman Community Development Corporation (WCDC), incorporated in October 1995, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit community and faith based organization founded by Mark L. Griffin and with members and friends of Wayman Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church. Pastor Griffin has used his standing in the community for excellence in education, reduction of violence and economic development in depressed neighborhoods.
WCDC is committed to Making a Difference by improving the quality of life for citizens of Jacksonville who are underserved. WCDC has been advocating and serving communities for over 19 years by providing two early learning (child care) centers, three afterschool programs, a mentoring program, youth counseling program, before and after care programs (extended day), summer camps and a car wash and lawn service
